About

I’m a freelance creative with a first-class degree in Fine Art, specialising in 3D mixed media and installation work. My practice explores decoloniality and the interconnectivity of the past and present, particularly the relationship between Britain and South Asia. During my studies, I became fascinated with how 3D materials and textures can communicate complex histories and stories. My dissertation, “To Decolonise is to Remember”: Contemporary Art and the Decolonisation of the Western World, inspired my final year exhibition, Room 84: The Paisley, where I delved deeper into these themes of forgotten histories and the power of art to re-educate.

Over the past few years, I’ve expanded my experience in set design, shadowing Patience Harding on Jockstrap’s show at the Barbican, interning at the Old Vic Theatre, and assisting in the British Youth Music Theatre’s production of All Growed Up at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. I’ve also designed sets for collaborative projects, further developing my artistic voice. My Fine Art background has shaped my approach to set design, blending art with storytelling. I use space, materials, and design to create immersive experiences that communicate powerful narratives and engage audiences on a deeper level.
